Wondering how to fund your education? There are many scholarship opportunities available to students in the LIS program.

Here are some that are targeted specifically at online students:
Grace Brorstrom Oakley Scholarship
The Grace Brorstrom Oakley Scholarship for continuing part-time or full-time undergraduate students enrolled in an online degree program at UIS who are achieving well academically. Students must only be enrolled in online courses at a distance. Grace Brorstrom Oakley dedicated much of her life encouraging women to achieve. To reflect Mrs. Oakley’s commitment to others, single mothers who returned to higher education after being out a period of time are particularly encouraged to apply for this $1000 scholarship.
Ray Schroeder Online Learning Scholarship
The Ray Schroeder Online Scholarship was established in his honor and will be the first scholarship for UIS to go to a student pursuing an online degree from UIS. Two scholarships are available at $1,000 each. Minimum enrollment of six hours.
Harry S. Truman Scholarship
The Harry S. Truman Scholarship is open to current juniors in college planning to attend graduate school in preparation for careers in public service. Qualifications include a GPA of 3.5 or higher, U.S. Citizenship, and a strong leadership record.
