Stress
Stress can feel overwhelming at the college level! There are deadlines to meet, professors to impress, resumes to compose and mail out, finals to study for — not to mention attempts at having a social life!
The Counseling Center staff members understand these issues and want to help you deal with them.
- On The American Institute of Stress website you’ll find some interesting self-tests to help evaluate the sources of stress in your life, your reactions to stress and advice on how to reduce your stress levels.
- Some students have asked us about breathing methods for calming down in tense situations; the Sam Houston State University Counseling Center website shares easy and effective breathing techniques.
