Service Provider Orientation

This program is mandated for SUPR-licensed agency employees who provide DUI evaluation and risk education services. The 3-day Service Provider Orientation is required for all new service providers who offer DUI evaluation services in Illinois. The orientation workshops are also available to any DUI service provider who is interested in receiving periodic updates on DUI service provision requirements and procedures.

DUI service providers can take one, two, or all three days of the Service Provider Orientation in any given training event (i.e. all three days of the program need not be completed in a single training event, nor in order).

The 3-day Service Provider Orientation format:

Day 1

  • DUI Service Provider System: 2060 Rules and Regulations
  • The DUI Arrest: Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and BAC Determination

Day 2

  • DUI Evaluation
  • DUI Objective Testing

Day 3

  • Understanding the Secretary of State Administrative Hearing Process for DUI Offenders
  • Secretary of State Mock Hearing

Please note: Service providers who plan to work only as Risk Education instructors are required to complete Day 1 of the Service Provider Orientation. Days 2 and 3 are optional, but strongly encouraged for an overall view of the SUPR DUI system.
