Sarah Gibson joined UIS as an Academic Advisor/Online Coordinator in March 2022. She earned her Master's degree in ESL/Bilingual Education from Western Illinois University, where she also earned her Bachelor's degree in Spanish. She is currently pursuing an additional Master's degree in Human Development Counseling through the University of Illinois Springfield. Sarah has studied abroad in Spain, taught abroad in Mexico, and has a love for travel and other cultures. She brings almost 2 decades of experience in post-secondary and higher education, holding roles in teaching, program leadership, accreditation management, advising, recruitment & retention, and online coordinating.
