The UIS volleyball team was able to win its GLVC opener on Friday night against Missouri S&T in a five-set affair. With the win, UIS improves to 9-3 overall with a 1-0 record in the GLVC. Missouri S&T falls to 2-9 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.

  • The Prairie Stars won in five sets; 25-21, 19-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-11

  • UIS started the match strong, holding a strong lead until a late run from S&T closed the gap
