The UIS women's golf team completed the first two rounds of the William Beall Fall Classic on Monday, currently sitting in 15th place out of 18 teams with a score of 631 (315, 316).

Through Two Rounds
  • The UIS women's golf team is currently positioned four strokes behind Ohio Dominican and Maryville, and five strokes back from Charleston as they head into the final round
  • Elaine Grant is leading the charge for UIS, tied for 17th place with a score of 149. Grant displayed improvement in the second round, shooting a 73 after beginning with a 76
  • Ira Joshi and Arya Gadeker are also in the mix, competing closely with key opponents from nearby teams such as Maryville. Joshi shot 79, 80 and Gadekar shot 77, 83
  • Sara Prieto sits in 81st place with rounds of 84 and 80, and Isabelle Segal completed the day with scores of 83 and 90
  • Findlay leads the team standings with a score of 579, followed by Missouri-St. Louis at 583 and Tiffin at 599
  • UMSL's Juliette Lecomte leads the field, followed closely by Amelia Ruiz from Lynn and Hayley Dye from Findlay

The final round of the William Beall Fall Classic will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 1, with the Prairie Stars looking to climb the leaderboard. They will tee off at 7:00 a.m. Central time.
