The UIS men's golf team will travel north to Cog Hill Golf and Country Club for the Lewis Flyers Fall Intercollegiate on Oct. 7-8. The event will feature 16 teams, including a mix of GLVC rivals and teams from outside NCAA Division II. The Prairie Stars are coming off an 11th-place finish at the Midwest Regional Preview, posting a total of 900 strokes for 54 holes.
Julien Babineau led the way for UIS at the Midwest Regional Preview last week, tying for 19th with a total of 220 (75, 70, 75). Daniel Edwards, Sacha Lamraski, Francesco Abba, and Jake Baldin rounded out the lineup. UIS was just nine strokes away from a top-10 finish and will look to close that gap this week.
The Prairie Stars will feature a slightly adjusted lineup for this tournament, with Julien Babineau, Jake Baldin, Daniel Edwards, Brady Wilson, and Francesco Abba Jr. representing UIS.
UIS aims to defeat key regional teams at Cog Hill over 36 holes of stroke play.
