UIS women's golf competed at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate tournament in Lemont, Ill. at the start of the week. The Prairie Stars finished third out of ten teams with a total of 638 strokes for 36 holes, defeating GLVC opponents Quincy, Lewis, and Lincoln.
Tournament Summary
- The Prairie Stars moved into third place early in the tournament, and there was no change near the top of the leaderboard during round two, with both rounds recorded at 319
- Ira Joshi led the team in round one shooting a six-over 78 to tie for ninth in the first round. She went on to tie for 14th with a total of 161 strokes
- Elaine Grant made a strong push on Tuesday, improving her performance to finish in 5th place overall with a score of 153
- Arya Gadekar tied for 19th with a total of 162 strokes, while Sara Prieto secured T24 with a score of 163
- Rounding out the team, Isabelle Segal finished in 26th place with a score of 166
