The UIS women's golf team is set to compete at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational this weekend, taking place on Oct. 26-27 at The Pearl Club in Owensboro, Ky. Following a strong third-place finish at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate, the Prairie Stars are looking to build on their recent success as they head into their final tournament of the fall season.
In their last outing, UIS finished third out of 10 teams with a total of 638 strokes over 36 holes, outperforming GLVC opponents Quincy, Lewis, and Lincoln. Elaine Grant led the team with a fifth-place individual finish, carding rounds of 80 and 73 for a total of 153 strokes. Ira Joshi tied for 14th, shooting 161, while Arya Gadekar (162), Sara Prieto (163), and Isabelle Segal (166) rounded out the team's performance.
The Prairie Stars will be aiming for another top finish as they compete against a strong field at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational.
