UIS secured a hard-fought 78-71 victory over Maryville on the road, improving to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play, while Maryville drops to 1-7 and 0-3 in the GLVC.

"Terrific composure from our men tonight," said head coach Matt Brock. "It's very hard to win on the road in the GLVC. They didn't panic after leading for 38 minutes and going down by four. The huddle was very positive, and the guys believed in each other."
