The Illinois Springfield men's basketball team dropped a hard-fought road game to McKendree on Saturday afternoon, falling 92-82 in Lebanon, Ill. UIS falls to 4-5 overall and 1-3 in GLVC play, while McKendree improves to 6-3, 3-0 GLVC.

- McKendree came out strong, shooting a blistering 58.3% from the field in the first half and building a 43-32 lead at the break. UIS struggled to match McKendree's shooting, especially from beyond the arc, where they were limited to just 18.2%
- In the second half, the Prairie Stars fought back, outscoring McKendree 50-49. UIS found their offensive rhythm, shooting 54.6% from the field, led by Jack Weber's 19-point performance. The team sparked a 10-2 run, led by Britton Dutton, who scored 8 of those points, but McKendree's offense remained steady, converting 90% of their free throws (18-of-20) in the second half to maintain control of the game
- Jack Weber played a key role for UIS, not only leading the team with 19 points but also making history. He became the program's all-time leader in total rebounds with 583, surpassing Zach Steinberg's record of 582. Weber also recently became the all-time leader in defensive rebounds with 399, surpassing Steinberg's mark of 397
- Max Kunnert added 11 points, including a 3-pointer, along with 2 assists and 3 rebounds. Evan Altman contributed 10 points and 9 rebounds
- Despite several spurts of great offense, including a strong finish from Nate Shockey, who scored 8 points in the final 2:20, UIS was unable to reclaim the lead, with McKendree ultimately holding on for the 92-82 victory
