The UIS men's basketball team put forth a strong effort but came up short against the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers on Thursday night at TRAC, falling 70-64.
Reflecting on the game, Coach Brock commented, "We fought back hard and got 11 stops on the last 12 possessions of the first half with some great team defense. We couldn't quite get away from them in the second. Credit to Kentucky Wesleyan who hit several timely contested jumpers. I'm encouraged by our defensive performance against a very efficient offense, we just picked a bad night to not shoot well."
