The Illinois Springfield women's tennis team has been selected third in the GLVC East Division in the 2025 preseason poll, earning 13 total points.

The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.

Indianapolis was picked as the favorite in the East Division with 25 points, including five first-place votes, followed by Lewis in second with 21 points and one first-place vote. The Prairie Stars will aim to build on their strong roster, returning First Team All-GLVC selection Carmen Llopis Fabra.

In the West Division, Drury and Southwest Baptist are tied at the top with 22 points and two first-place votes each.

UIS, coached by interim head coach Ross Graham in his third season, finished the 2024 season with a 6-8 overall record and a 1-4 mark in GLVC play, missing the league tournament.

Illinois Springfield will serve as the host of the 2025 GLVC Men's and Women's Tennis Championships from May 2-4 at the newly renovated Velasco Tennis Center in Washington Park.
