The UIS men's track team will compete at the Lewis Invite, set to begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, at the Gately Track Center in Chicago, Ill.

The bulk of the UIS roster will race in the mile run, with several athletes competing in the event for the second time this season, including Ryan Jones in the meet's fastest heat. Transfer Matt Padilla will lead a group of seven Prairie Stars in the 3k, bringing his experience to the race as he looks to lead the pack. The men's team will also field two 4x400-meter relay teams, aiming to test their speed early in the season.

Hosted by conference foe Lewis, the meet will also feature familiar opponents like Parkside, Purdue Northwest, and Indianapolis.

Tickets are available for purchase through HomeTown Ticketing: $7 for adults and $5 for youth and seniors. Live results will be available on AthleticLIVE.
