The University of Illinois Springfield will offer 18 accelerated five-week online courses for prospective and current students. All classes will begin Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, and will conclude Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022.
“Many students have extra time over the holiday break, and this is a great chance for them to continue their education and potentially earn a degree in a shorter period of time,” said UIS Interim Chancellor Karen Whitney.
Accelerated courses will be offered in biology, criminology and criminal justice, communication, computer science, economics, history, legal studies, management information systems, political science, psychology, public administration and sociology/anthropology. A full list of courses is available at uis.edu/accelerated.
The deadline to apply for accelerated classes is Dec. 3. Prospective students can apply for admission at uis.edu/apply. Current UIS students can register using the Self-Service System. All courses are eligible for financial assistance.
