Brooke Seacrist chose the University of Illinois Springfield because “it was affordable, just the right size and close to home,” she said. She is a Camerata Music Scholar and a member of the Capital Scholars Honors Program, where she is the psychology student representative. She is also involved with the UIS Research Society. Seacrist said she loves UIS because of the “community feel.” Following graduation, she plans to earn a master’s degree in clinical psychology before working in the field.
