Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) is one of the oldest universities in East Asia. It was originally a Confucian Institute and the princes of royal families studied on its campus which was just across the road from one of the main palaces. SKKU is an exchange partner of UIS.

SKKU is a comprehensive university with opportunities in many different majors. SKKU also has an excellent program in Korean language and culture studies including a summer program.

Opportunities for UIS students
SKKU will accept two UIS students each year for one or two semesters of study. Students can select courses from many areas including Korean language.
SKKU also has an excellent summer program, which while it is outside of the exchange agreement, it is nonetheless very affordable.
