The Center for Online Learning, Research, and Service will be offering three workshops this summer on HyFlex Teaching.
The HyFlex (hybrid flexible) learning model is both a teaching format that bridges and blends the physical and digital classrooms and the pedagogy that informs the design of HyFlex learning. This session will cover:
- Pedagogical overview of HyFlex
- Instructional strategies
- Planning a HyFlex course session
Dates and times of the HyFlex workshops will be:
- Thursday, May 26th at 1:00 pm
- Monday, June 20th at 11:00 am
- Wednesday, July 20th at 11:00 am
Each workshop will last approximately 1 hour. Workshop attendance is mandatory for those interested in receiving the $500 stipend for converting a course to a HyFlex format. All faculty who apply for the HyFlex stipend, will be required to submit a syllabus as well as Hyflex lesson plans through the mid-term of their course (see syllabus template for details).
All workshops will take place on Zoom: https://go.uis.edu/colrszoom
Workshop recordings will be posted in the Center for Faculty Excellence Canvas site
