Services and Packages
The Career Development Center provides varying degrees of service to alumni based on packages which they can purchase for a nominal fee, as well as some free resources.
Recently Graduated Alumni = Graduated within 6 months.
Alumni = Graduate more than 6 months previously.
Package #1 – All-Inclusive
- Fee: Recently Graduated Alumni $40.00, Alumni $80.00
- Services and Resources include:
- Maximum 3 Career Counseling Appointments (based on availability and counselor discretion)
- Use of Career Suite Drop-In/ Call-In Hours for document critiques
- Access to Internship and Job Listings via UIS CareerConnect
- On-campus recruiting opportunities via UIS CareerConnect
- Career seminars, events, and career fairs sponsored by the department
- Exclusive Online Resources: FOCUS 2, GoinGlobal, and OptimalResume
- Access to Career Suite & Resource Library
- Career Assessment Administration and Interpretations: Additional fee for Assessment Costs
Package #2 – Online Resources/Career Suite/Workshops Package
- Fee: Recently Graduated Alumni $30.00, Alumni $50.00
- Services and Resources include:
- Use of Career Suite Drop-In/ Call-In Hours for document critiques
- Access to Internship and Job Listings via UIS CareerConnect
- Exclusive Online Resources: FOCUS 2, GoinGlobal, and OptimalResume
- Career seminars, events, and career fairs sponsored by the department
Package #3 – Online Job and Opportunity Listings
- Fee: Recently Graduated Alumni/Alumni: $20.00
- Services and Resources include:
- Access to Internship and Job Listings via UIS CareerConnect
Package #4 – Career Assessment with Administration and Interpretation
- Fee: $40.00 Plus Assessment Cost
- 2 Career Counseling Appointments:
- Session 1 – Determine appropriate assessment and administer
- Session 2 – Review assessment results and receive interpretation
Free Resources
- Career Toolbox – variety of free resources and reference sites
- Career Handouts & Guides – collection of handouts on a variety of career topics
- Diversity Resources – curated list of resources for unique and underrepresented populations
- GOALS Program – self-directed program to assist in career planning
- Career Pathfinder – provides useful career to major matching guides
Service Length
- Spring Semester: January 1st – May 14th
- Summer Semester: May 15th – August 14th
- Fall Semester: August 15th – December 31st
Payment Options
About Payments
- Fees are due each semester and are not pro-rated. Dates and fees are subject to change
- Payment must be received by the Career Development Center prior to obtaining services
Pay Options
- Online Payment using Visa, Master Card, and Discover credit cards: PAY NOW
- Pay by phone or in-person with Visa, Master Card, and Discover credit cards
- Cash is only accepted when provided in-person
- Personal Checks accepted via mail or in-person
- Make check payable to UIS and include driver’s license number or UIN
