Jakxie Jimenez finds satisfaction in the student engagement fostered by numerous campus events that promote unity at the University of Illinois Springfield. She chose UIS for its nurturing environment and opportunities for interaction with professors and peers. Jimenez serves as a student worker for UIS Campus Recreation, is a member of the Necessary Steps Mentoring program for first-generation students and is part of Gamma Phi Omega International Sorority, Inc. Expected to graduate in 2026, Jimenez aspires to travel around the world and pursue a career as a pediatric nurse.
