Brian Clevenger has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for June 2024. He is the associate vice chancellor for enrollment and retention management.
His supervisor, Vicki Cook, said he has taken on extra responsibility and demonstrated outstanding management skills.
“Brian has taken on many additional responsibilities over the past two years to assist with creating an environment where UIS enrollment could be increased,” Cook said. “He has shown exceptional leadership qualities, care for staff and collaboration with faculty and staff across the campus.”
Clevenger’s nominator praised him for his mentorship and compassion.
“Brian has been an incredible mentor to me. In every aspect of his work, he embodies the epitome of leadership, knowledge and compassion,” his nominator said. “Brian is not only a phenomenal leader and mentor but also a kind-hearted individual who embodies the values and spirit of our university.”
Clevenger is known for his dependability and commitment.
“The staff knows they can depend on Brian to support and assist them with their work, as I do,” Cook said. “He is dedicated to his staff and to the students at UIS.”
