WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield will host an “Exploring Graduate School” event to provide prospective students with an opportunity to learn more about its 48 graduate programs of study.

WHEN: 2-4 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11

WHERE: UIS Student Union, 2251 Richard Wright Drive, Springfield

DETAILS:  Current UIS students and the public are invited to explore graduate programs offered by UIS. Attendees will learn about various career paths, the application process, what to expect from both full-time and part-time programs and options for funding their graduate education.

The Office of Graduate Education will lead an opening session on applying to graduate school and securing funding through opportunities such as graduate assistantships, the Graduate Public Service Internship Program and the Illinois Legislative Staff Intern Program.

In addition, representatives from more than 20 academic programs will be available to answer questions and provide details about specific graduate programs.
