Michele Gribbins, associate provost for institutional research and effectiveness at the University of Illinois Springfield, has been selected as an Online Learning Consortium (OLC) Fellow in recognition of her exemplary contributions to research and professional development in the field of online learning.
This prestigious distinction is awarded by the OLC Board of Directors and acknowledges outstanding qualifications, significant experience, distinguished service and leadership in the field.
According to OLC announcement, “Gribbins has made substantial contributions to data-informed decision-making in digital education. Her work has supported the development of effective online programs and policies that drive academic quality and student achievement.”
Gribbins will be formally recognized at the OLC Accelerate Conference, taking place on Nov. 20 in Orlando, Florida. The OLC Fellowship is considered a high honor in the field of online education, conferred only upon individuals who demonstrate a record of exceptional achievement and dedication.
Gribbins joins the ranks of previous UIS recipients of this distinction, including Ray Schroeder, Vickie Cook, Karen Swan and Burks Oakley III, positioning UIS as a leader in the field of online education.
The OLC, a collaborative community of higher education leaders and innovators, has been recognizing outstanding contributors to the field since 2010. The fellowship celebrates individuals who have made significant advancements in online learning through research, leadership and service.
