Robert Demonte appreciates the close-knit community at the University of Illinois Springfield, where strong personal connections and bonds are formed among students and staff. Demonte is the vice president of the Upsilon Xi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., a member of the Leadership 4 Life service organization, a student worker for the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and a representative on the UIS Greek Affairs Board. He is a first-generation student. Following graduation, Demonte hopes to gain experience as a graduate assistant and pursue a master’s degree in educational administration.
