As the semester begins, here are a few key updates and reminders to help you maintain accurate and accessible content on your unit's pages:

  1. Review Website Resources: Ensure you follow the content review guidelines, web accessibility requirements, and other resources to keep your pages compliant and updated.
  2. Confirm Liaison Contact: Check the Website Liaison document to verify your unit’s web liaison contact is accurate.

Updates and Announcements

  • Submit Office Hours: Use the Office Hours Form to add or update your department’s hours for the website and UIS mobile app. Temporary disruptions can be flagged to appear on the Emergency Office Hours page. Requests to dynamically integrate your office hours into your unit website can be submitted via the Web Project Request form.
  • Policy and Compliance Notifications: New modules have been developed to prompt updates for compliance and policy pages, ensuring alignment with organizational standards. If you receive a notification, please review and update the page promptly.  
  • Accessibility Training Requirement: If access to website editing has been restricted, you may need to retake website training to fulfill the website accessibility training requirement. All new editors receive this training during their onboarding.
  • Dynamic Program Pages: These streamlined pages enhance the presentation of academic programs, reduce the workload for units, and provide clear, centralized information to prospective students. For updates to program pages, submit requests via the Academic Web Update form.
