Transfer Student Orientation

We are excited to welcome you to the Prairie Star Community! Whether you are coming from a community college or another university, our orientation program is here to help you connect with resources, meet other UIS students, and feel confident in your transition to UIS.

In-Person Orientation (Strongly Encouraged)

In-person summer orientation isn’t required for transfer students, but it’s definitely encouraged! It’s a great way to meet other students, get connected to campus resources, and learn about all the opportunities UIS has to offer.

Taking Care of Business (Optional In-Person Event)

Taking care of business is an in-person experience designed specifically for transfer students. It’s a great opportunity to connect with key campus offices like Financial Aid, Parking, Bursars Office, Health Center, and more. You will get the chance to finalize any last-minute tasks before classes begin.
