Ben Paoletti came to UIS with an interest in civic engagement. He is a resident assistant for the Leadership for Life Service Program in Lincoln Residence Hall. Ben has also become the vice president of the Alternative Spring Break student organization. In March, he traveled to Houston, Texas with a group of 21 UIS students as part of Alternative Spring Break to clean up Hurricane Harvey damage. Along with Alternative Spring Break, he is an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Ben’s other commitments include being an active member of the Creative Writing Club, Community Gardening Club, Research Society at UIS, Norris Nation, International Student Association, and Hostility Elimination Liaison Program.
