We are pleased to announce that the Leadership Lived Experience (LLE) student employment initiative application is now available. The LLE program was launched in December 2013 with the purpose of improving undergraduate student retention by increasing employment opportunities on campus and by providing professional development experiences for students. Students participating in an LLE can expect to gain professional skills and real-world experience while pursuing their degree.

At inception, the LLE program funded 25 positions. This year, the Leadership Lived Experience will continue to be enhanced through the collective efforts of Student Employment, Career Development Center and the Office of Engaged Learning. To learn more about program changes, refer to the attached document included with this email.

The application link is below. Funding for LLE positions will come from the Chancellor’s Office. Once approval for the UIS LLE position is received, the department can post the position on CareerConnect following the current student employment rules and procedures.

We encourage you to participate in this initiative by submitting your request for a position that provides an enhanced employment experience that will enable our students to further strengthen their educational experience.
