Transfer student Alexis Eddings came to the University of Illinois Springfield seeking a close-knit community. She credits UIS for opening many doors from job shadowing and internships. Following the recommendation of her Human Resources Professor, Eddings joined the UIS Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Student Chapter to participate in the Case Competition. She became a member of the executive board as the director of the Case Competition Team and student captain of UIS SHRM. Eddings helped lead the team to a second-place finish in both the Case Competition and HR Jeopardy Games. “I am proud of my accomplishments since I have attended here, and plan on continuing to demonstrate integrity, good character and enthusiasm in my future career thanks to UIS’s leadership values instilled in me and my peers,” she said.
