Research shows that UIS added an estimated $833.6 million to the Illinois economy in fiscal year 2017, of which alumni in the workforce accounted for $702.7 million. The University has a significant positive impact on the business community and generates a return on investment to students, taxpayers and society. Students receive a return of $6.30 in future earnings for every dollar invested in their education.
