Anh Nguyen is a member of Leaders of the Research Society and Women in STEM Excel. She serves as a general chemistry supplemental instruction leader and a science peer tutor at the Learning Hub. Nguyen worked with Assistant Professor Natalia Zinkevich to develop a protocol using imaging for data analysis and to utilize the control functionality of the HEK-293T cell line with GFP expression. She also compared two different methods of analyzing cell density, with and without Hoechst-33324 dye solution. Nguyen chose UIS because of the beautiful campus and the opportunities to connect with peers and faculty members. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school or participate in a clinical research project.
