UIS women's tennis hosts Michigan Tech, a regional opponent, this Saturday at the Springfield Racquet and Fitness Center at 1:00 p.m.

The Prairie Stars are 0-1 after a Feb. 1 loss to nationally ranked Washburn. In that match, newcomer Ema Norma Bordean won 6-4, 7-6 (9-7) at No. 2 singles, securing the Prairie Stars' sole point in the 6-1 loss. Bordean and Niamh Grogan also battled in No. 1 doubles, falling 7-5. Carmen Llopis Fabra had the most contested singles loss at 6-3, 6-4.

Michigan Tech (1-1)
Michigan Tech has also had a two-week break since its last outing. The Huskies hold a 1-1 record after a 4-3 win over Hillsdale and a 4-3 loss to Northwood. Most recently against Northwood, Chiara Heinz (6-0, 6-2) and Emily Rose (6-3, 6-3) picked up dominant singles wins.
