The UIS men's tennis team welcomes regional opponent Michigan Tech for a Saturday afternoon matchup at the Springfield Racquet and Fitness Center. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.

Illinois Springfield (0-1)
The Prairie Stars opened their season with a 7-0 loss to nationally recognized Washburn on Saturday, Feb. 1. The Ichabods secured the doubles point before taking control in singles play. Viktor Karpati battled but fell 6-1, 6-4, while Pablo Herrera pushed his opponent in a 6-4, 6-3 defeat—both facing opponents likely to appear in this season's national rankings.

Michigan Tech (1-1)
The Huskies arrive in Springfield with a .500 record, having defeated Hillsdale 6-2 before falling 6-1 to Northwood. Most recently against Northwood, Viktor Jordao fought through a grueling match at the No. 1 singles spot, going 7-6 (7-4), 3-6 (3-7), 0-1 (5-10). Nearly every singles match featured tiebreakers or extended play, highlighting the Huskies' competitive depth.
