The Illinois Springfield women's track and field team will compete in the GLVC Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend at the University of Indianapolis. The two-day meet, beginning on Saturday evening, will feature top athletes from across the conference, and UIS will look to make a strong showing in distance events.

On Saturday, the 5,000-meter final and the distance medley relay final will take place, marking the first opportunity for UIS athletes to score points at conference championship. Madelyn Miller, who holds the top 5,000-meter time in the conference this season (16:37.46) and has an NCAA provisional qualifying mark, will be one to watch as she aims for an All-GLVC finish.

The championship meet continues on Sunday, where UIS athletes will compete in the mile, 800 meters, and 3,000 meters finals. Marissa Roggensack will represent UIS in the mile final, while Norah Wright and Kali Gaden will take the track in the 800-meter final. Kaleigh Inniss, Jordan Serrahn, and Josslyn Gaona will look to make their mark in the 3,000 meters, where Inniss enters with a season-best time of 10:15.07, ranking 13th in the conference.
