Brett Hyink helped to start the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International Pre-Law Chapter at the University of Illinois Springfield. He currently serves as president of the pre-law fraternity and the UIS Pre-Law Society. He is also a member of the UIS Mock Trial Team. “I choose UIS because of the legal studies program,” he said. “UIS provides its pre-law students with opportunities, such as working in the state Capitol and the Illinois Innocence Project.” Following graduation from UIS, he plans to attend law school in Chicago. After law school, he wants to practice law as a civil rights attorney and eventually become a judge.
