Cameryn Hodges chose the University of Illinois Springfield “because of the small class size and community that allows you to easily network and get involved with many opportunities,” she said. On campus, Hodges is a staff photographer for The UIS Journal; a peer mentor at for the UIS Career Development Center; treasurer for the Upsilon Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; treasurer for the Lambda Phi Eta Communications Honor Society and a marketing specialist on the TEDxUofISpringfield Committee. Asked what she most likes about UIS, she said “I really do like how it’s not a huge college campus and you are not overwhelmed with a lot of people.” Following graduation, she plans to attend graduate school and then work for The Walt Disney Studios.
Leadership is lived at UIS. Every day.
