Canadian National has informed UIS that the railroad crossing on 11th Street between East Hazel Dell Road and Earnest Hemingway Drive will be closed for repairs until at least 7 a.m. Friday. During this time, northbound and southbound traffic on 11th Street will not be permitted through the crossing.

Students, faculty, staff and visitors traveling to or from campus should plan accordingly and allow extra time for their commute.

Road closure signs are posted along 11th Street. Those traveling to campus may proceed through areas marked "Local Traffic Only" to access the university.
