Carmen Llopis Fabra has been named First Team All-GLVC, earning the second all-conference honors of her career. The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced its All-GLVC tennis teams at a pre-conference banquet on Thursday evening. The selections include eight players each from the East and West Divisions.

Llopis Fabra, a Junior from Castellan, Spain, is ranked No. 56 in the most recent ITA singles rankings. She has been ranked as high as No. 53 this spring

She went 3-2 in conference play, most notably defeating the No. 28-ranked singles athlete in NCAA DII women's tennis midseason.

The doubles pairing of Carmen Llopis Fabra and Franca Bucco went 2-2 in conference play.

Llopis Fabra was also the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Honoree for UIS women's tennis. The Drury Panthers earned the team sportsmanship award.

UIS women's tennis ended its season last week with a regular season loss to the Lewis Flyers. The team went 6-8 overall, 1-4 against conference opponents.
