Alumna Colleen Kelly MA ’85 LAS is the Senior Director of Advancement and Communications at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. Colleen has been an advancement professional for more than 25 years, and has raised in excess of $200 million. She says that Sangamon State University gave her a career she never imagined as an undergraduate.

Alumna DeShana L. Forney MA ’95 PAA is the Senior Director of Government and Community Relations for Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas, subsidiaries of WEC Energy Group. She has over 20 years of legislative, budgetary and management experience. DeShana was recently inducted into the Samuel K. Gove Illinois Legislative Internship Hall of Fame for her outstanding public service.

Alumna Crystal Creswell ’01 CBM, MBA ’09 CBM is the Operations Manager for the Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation (MCLI). Crystal says her time at UIS allowed her the opportunity to experience a broad range of subjects related to business, and provided her with the confidence she needed to pursue her current role at MCLI.
