Thank you for your continued flexibility this month to comply with the state testing requirement for unvaccinated students, faculty and staff on our campus. For the week of July 11, UIS will accept COVID-19 test results from any test that has Emergency Use Authorization. This includes the Shield PCR test, most lab-based tests and at-home tests. Please email your proof of test result to aeo@uis.edu by end of day Sunday, July 17.

Ways to meet this test requirement at no cost to you include:

• Using at-home testing kits made available through your insurance provider or the federal government
• Visiting the Shield testing location on Madison Street in Springfield
• Working with your medical provider to get testing through your place of care

If an employee’s best option is to test at Shield or a local pharmacy or clinic, they may use up to 45 minutes per week of their shift to meet their testing requirement.
