Daisy Solorzano says she enjoys the professors at the University of Illinois of Springfield. “Their work is inspiring and they always want their students to succeed,” she said. She also loves how she gained her best friend at UIS. “I choose UIS because of the possible opportunities with being near the state capitol” she said. Solorzano is a member of the UIS Cheerleading team, Voices in Praise and University Bible Fellowship. She also is a community support specialist for Innovate Springfield as part of the Graduate Public Service Internship Program at UIS. Following graduation, she plans on leading social change for underrepresented communities.
Leadership is lived at UIS. Every Day.
