Upcoming Sessions

Leveraging Email Tools to Find Work-Life Balance | Tuesday, January 14 from 11-11:30 a.m.

A new year feels like a great time to focus on balance and how we can leverage technology to help us find and keep that balance. We will explore Outlook's features - such as reactions, mentions, setting work hours and locations, scheduling when emails are sent, and leveraging scheduling polls.

Box Team Folders for Business Continuity | Thursday, January 23 from 9:30-10 a.m.

Box Team folders are a great way to manage and organize unit documents - and are critical for business continuity. What makes them unique is that they do not belong to a single user; they are owned by the UIS Box Administration account. This means that as users leave UIS/change roles, their files remain safe and continue to be accessible by others. Team folders also provide protection for deleted files (which go into the UIS Box Administration trash and can be recovered within 30 days). In this session, we'll showcase how these team folders work and how to request one for your unit.

Using AI in the Workplace: Prompt Design Tips | Monday, January 27 from 10-10:30 a.m.

The second in a series of AI-focused sessions on how we can leverage AI in our jobs, this session will focus on the art and science of crafting effective prompts for AI models. We will cover principles of prompt engineering, including how to structure prompts for clarity, specificity, and desired output formats. No previous AI experience is necessary - this session is for everyone!

Jabber - Bringing Your Office Phone to Your Computer or Mobile Device | Thursday, February 6 from 9:30-10 a.m.

Jabber is a 'soft phone' tool that allows employees to make/receive phone calls to their office number on their cell phone or laptop/desktop. This session includes a demonstration of Jabber's features and functionality. We will also review the cost and convenience benefits of transitioning to Jabber, as well as address issues/concerns/situations where Jabber is not a good option.
