Dear colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well. As part of the University of Illinois System's commitment to fostering international collaboration and enhancing global perspectives in our curriculum, our partners from the Anahuac University of Mérida are excited to invite distinguished professors from UIS to participate as visiting faculty in our Summer Term.

This program is designed to strengthen the academic partnership between our universities by offering students the opportunity to learn from international experts, while facilitating meaningful exchanges among faculty. We believe the expertise from your faculty would significantly enrich students' learning experience and support our goal of internationalization at home.

Program Highlights:

  • Academic Engagement: Share your expertise with talented students in a dynamic, high-level academic exchange. Visiting professors are expected to teach 9-12 hours per week across 3-4 days and collaborate closely with a co-instructor from Anáhuac Mérida to ensure an enriching course experience.
  • Subjects Available: Topics include Evaluation of Investment Projects, Operations and International Logistics, and Business Opportunity Identification, among others.

What Anáhuac Mayab (Mérida) Provides:

  • Fully Covered Expenses: Including round-trip airfare, 14 or 21 nights of accommodation, stipend for meals, local transportation, and airport pick-up.
  • Immersive Cultural Experience: Mérida offers a blend of history, safety, and culture. As the economic and cultural center of the Yucatán Peninsula, the city has twice been named the American Capital of Culture and offers a mix of tradition and modernity.

Please find an outline of the program, including key dates, available resources, and guidelines for participation. We look forward to the potential of working together to provide an impactful educational experience for students.

Applications are open until February 7, 2025. Required documentation includes a CV, course proposal, and a valid passport copy.

Please feel free to contact our partners from the Anahuac University of Mérida at international@anahuac.mx if you require more details, need an extension to apply, or would like to schedule a meeting to further discuss this program.

¡Saludos!
