Four UIS women's tennis student-athletes have earned 2023-24 Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Franca Bucco, Carmen Llopis Fabra, Piper Schrepferman, and Sina Skjelstad were featured on the list. 

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes were required to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and meet strict participation guidelines. NCAA tennis programs were limited to four nominations each.

A senior from San Francisco, Argentina, Franca Bucco capped her final season at UIS with a 9-4 singles record while playing to an overall record of 7-6 with doubles partner Carmen Llopis Fabra. Bucco majored in biology at UIS.

Carmen Llopis Fabra, a biology major, was a First Team All-GLVC selection who ranked as high as No. 53 in the ITA women's singles rankings this spring.

Piper Schrepferman, an exercise science major, went 6-8 in No. 3 singles this spring.

A senior from Baerums Verk, Norway, Sina Skjelstad majored in business administration at UIS. Skjelstad went 39-74 in four seasons.

The UIS women's tennis team boasted the highest GPA of all UIS teams in spring 2024, averaging 3.97 on a 4.0 scale for one of the program's all-time best marks.

The UIS tennis program recognized Bucco and Skjelstad as seniors this spring.

An elite group of 18 student-athletes, promoted from the All-District list, were named First Team, Second Team, and Third Team CSC Academic All-American on Tuesday.
