Gary Krause, a 2024 graduate from the master of Legal Studies program answered a few questions for us about his time at UIS.

What online program did you graduate from? 

GK: "Masters in legal studies."

Why did you choose UIS for your online education? Why did you choose your online program?

GK: "A combination of affordable price, content, and online availability."

How would you describe your experience as an online student at UIS?

GK: "Busy yet manageable.  Like all programs one gets out of it what one puts into it. Great learning experience."

What courses had a significant impact on you? How so?

GK: "Legal Research.  It was the one course that most closely fit the skills I was looking to learn.  It showed me how to look up and research law."

Who or what motivated you to persist in your online education?

GK: "Personal desire to learn."

What advice would you give to future online students?

GK: "You learn and get out of a program what you put into it.  Make a schedule and stick to it."

What's next for you? 

GK: "I already possess a doctorate and an MBA.  I may study for my LSAT and pursue a JD."
