In the Men's White Race at the Bradley Pink Classic, the UIS men's cross country team finished 12th out of 18 teams, wrapping up the regular season with a partial squad outing on Friday afternoon.

  • Leading the charge for UIS was Daniel Giacomini, who crossed the finish line with a time of 26:34, placing him 56th overall
  • Close behind was Dylan Howell, who finished in 26:43 for 62nd place overall
  • Additional scorers were Finn Loken (27:09, 78th), Garrett Wagoner (27:23, 88th), and DJ Dutton (27:40, 98th)
  • Ayden Groves (28:46, 121st) and Lucas Naugle (29:41, 134th rounded out the team's performance
  • The team's top five runners averaged 27:06 for eight kilometers
  • UIS finished 12th of 18 scoring teams, landing ahead of Iowa Western, Milwaukee, Principia, Webster, Concordia Chicago, and Chicago State
  • The top teams in the race were Loyola, Kentucky, and Xavier

The Prairie Stars are set to host the GLVC Cross Country Championship in Springfield next weekend. The UIS Cross Country Course will bring together the GLVC's 15 schools on Saturday, Oct. 26. The men's 8k is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., followed by the women's 6k at 10:30 a.m.
