We had a great turnout for our summer workshop series, so we'll be continuing the series with a new round of sessions! We'll be hosting weekly 30-minute workshops on a variety of topics. There is something for everyone!
There is no need to register. Join us in person in UHB 2028 or via Zoom.
Excel: Introduction to Functions | August 8 from 11-11:30 a.m.

Excel: LOOKUP Functions | August 13 from 11-11:30 a.m.
LOOKUP functions are incredibly powerful tools in working with data in Excel. They allow you to retrieve data from a different Excel dataset and return specific values.
Hardware Buying Recommendations | August 20 from 2-2:30 p.m.
Special guest, Jason Noyes, will join us for this session to provide recommendations for purchasing computers, printers, and other IT hardware to help units maximize dollars and purchase equipment that meets their needs.
Excel: Creating and Working with PivotTables | August 26 from 10-10:30 a.m.
PivotTables are incredibly powerful tools for analyzing and summarizing large datasets in Excel. They allow us to quickly summarize data, analyze patterns, create interactive reports, and drill down into details.
Excel: Text Functions | September 4 from 10-10:30 a.m.
We often think of functions in Excel helping us with numbers, but Excel functions can also help us work with text-based data. In this session, we'll experiment with case functions as well as char, exact, substitute, and trim functions.
Creating Surveys and Forms in Webtools | September 12 from 11-11:30 a.m.
Webtools allows us to create surveys and forms for easy distribution and basic reporting. Webtools does not offer as many features as Qualtrics but is a great solution for basic forms - particularly those that should be limited to specific participants.
Introduction to Qualtrics | September 16 from 10-10:30 a.m.
Qualtrics is a powerful tool for data collection and analysis. In this session, we will cover the basics of creating/distributing a survey and reviewing the submissions. We will also talk about the pros/cons of Qualtrics vs Webtools.
If there are other topics you'd like to see offered, please reach out to Kara at kmcel2@uis.edu.
