Bio. I am currently the Healthcare Data Analyst at Lifelinks, a mental health institution in Coles County, having started about three months ago. My responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and evaluating data from various programs and online data sites as well as consulting with computer programmers and facilitating the interface between different electronic health systems. Prior to this position, I spent two years on the road as an independent EHR consultant, basically training clinicians and other end users on the Epic EHR as well as Cerner during go live implementation.
Research Interests: My general research interests are focused on institutional effectiveness and organizational change. I am interested in studying how public organizations are rendered weak through the implementation of programs and policies, including internally developed ones. I would also like to study the role of state and political actors in electronic health record implementation and how such implementation affect organizational structure, change and effectiveness.
