Jocelyn Fluker finds fulfillment in collaborating with a diverse group of individuals at the University of Illinois Springfield. Fluker is set to complete her master’s degree in human development counseling with a school counseling concentration this upcoming May. Currently, she serves as a graduate assistant at the Women’s Center. Fluker's choice of UIS was influenced not only by the counseling program but also by personal ties. "My mom graduated from here,” she said. “When my mom started going to UIS, my twin and I were in middle school! We lived on campus, and my mom took us to campus events. So, when I was considering my master’s degree, UIS was first on my radar! It felt like home." Looking ahead to graduation, Fluker aspires to become a counselor in an elementary school.
Leadership is lived at UIS. Every Day.
