Hometown: Henry, Illinois
Major: Exercise Science (Occupational Therapy Track)
Future Plans: Attend graduate school for occupational therapy
Jordan Killen says she’s had “great opportunities for leadership and involvement” at the University of Illinois Springfield. The exercise science major works as a facility lead for the Department of Campus Recreation where she has taught fitness classes, is a student representative for the UIS Hiring Committee, a founding member and treasurer of the Tri Sigma sorority, a founding member and vice president of the Exercise Science Organization and a member of the Capital Scholars Honors Program. She chose UIS because it “is reasonably priced, close to my hometown and has a strong sense of community.” Following graduation, she plans to attend graduate school for occupational therapy.
Leadership is lived at UIS. Every day.
